Sub-Sale what to watch out for!

I have purchased a new house that is nearing completion, the purchase is a sub-sale, that is I am buying it from a person who was involved in the original development (the engineer for the site) but is not the builder. I have asked the foreman to price some extra work (sockets, move radiator etc) but he will not do anything as "I am not buying it from the builder", the person selling will also do nothing as he does not want the hassle. I am working with my solicitor to make sure that the builder will have to provide resources to work any issues in the snag as part of the close, is there any thing else I should request my solicitor to include in part of closing ?

wow, they seem pretty unhelpful, that's a shame.
I'm not sure that the addition of sockets wouldn't fall into the snag list though.
We managed to get an addition socket in the kitchen by pointing out the bad design but they weren't obliged to do it.
