By all means, try reasonable approaches first — but if these fail to achieve the desired effect, and the problem is a recurrent one... simply stroll by again, after dark, and insert the head of a matchstick into the tyre valves of two tyres — one on each side of the vehicle — thus releasing all the air from them. Ideally, slip a piece of paper under the windscreen wiper expressing your deep regret (
) and explaining that you'll be happy to cease and desist —
if they can manage to park in a less unsociable manner...
You thereby cause no "criminal damage" whatsoever to the vehicle, but inflict on the offender the inconvenience of arranging for at least one lift to the nearest forecourt (unless they have a second spare stashed in their garage). Fair exchange, it seems to me, for forcing X number of passing pedestrians to step off the pavement into the traffic — or am I all wrong here..?
People with buggies, reduced mobility, etc. deserve a
little more consideration, IMHO...
