Statute of limitations on investment property sold by bank

Hi, I had an investment property which the bank repossessed and sold in 2017. I had not engaged or made any payments since 2013. The bank sold the loan and the new company are now sending me letters to engage or go to court. As the property has been sold does this mean that I am now clear of the debt ? Does the 6 years statute of limitations apply here as long as I do not engage?
 
More likely that it is 12 years, as it is a secured property, possibly starting from the formal Demand for payment.
