i have 472 paid social welfare stamps and 10 years credits. i took time out from work to rear 4 children.i am 69 years of age am i entitled to any old age pension.
 
You should apply anyway - you need 520 paid contributions for a contributory pension which is not means tested and in some cases credited contributions can help towards the number required. It all depends on when you started work and your average number over the years. If you do not qualify for a contributory pension you may qualify for a non contributory pension which is means tested. The difference between the pensions is very little about €10 per week so you should definitely apply. As far as I know you can only claim for six months backdated so get the claim in!
