stamp duty on credit cards

i have 2 credit cards and i have noticed that i have been charged 40 euro stap duty on both of them last april. it was my understanding that changes made in the the last budget, that you only paid the stamp duty on one card even if you had 2 or more.

No. No mistake here.

As above. The new changes just avoided double charging of the €40 in one year when you switched from one card to another mid year - not when you hold more than one card (unless they operate off the same account). See [broken link removed] for more info.
