Yes that’s what I was going to say. I’m a bit terrified of these new rules. The solicitor did the right thing

They’re very prescriptive and don’t allow any real leeway to the Solicitor. Solicitors will tend to err on the side of caution.

What’s the upper limit on the temporary high balance covered by DGS? Will be in a similar position to the OP and wondering what to do with the large sum for a month or so.
