Sky+ insufficient space.

We have just got sky+ but although the planner says 78% free space when I tried to record something it only part recorded saying there wasnt sufficient space? Anyone come across this problem?
 
I've never had such a problem. However, my solution to any issues I've had with Sky+ is this...."turn off the power fully to the box, leave it for 5 minutes and then turn it on again"....works everytime for me.

It sounds like your box could be faulty if it's the only programme you were taping and if there was no power failure while taping it. Sometimes if you are recording two programmes and a third one is about to start it can clash and will stop one of the recordings. I have to say I nearly always have only about 5% free but never have any problems recording anything. Try taping a few programmes within the next 24 hours and see if you get the same error message.
 
Thanks Daisybell. Actually in the interim I came home from work and whole thing had crashed so I rang sky and was put through some kind of rebooting process and since then have had no problem so perhaps that was needed.
