Any recommedations for a good skip hire company and one that is relatively cheap??? Many Thanks!

i think they all cost the same.
the days of cheap skips are gone since they closed down the private dump in wicklow and now have to pay the high council dump charges

smallest 'mini' skip = €150
Normal skip = €300

Behind a hedge = priceless.

for everything else there's Master Card.

I have just come from the recycling centre in Ringsend today. We got the loan of a trailer and loaded it with a central heating boiler, shower doors, beds and mattresses, fluorescent tubes, and other 'rubble' including old carpets. All quite bulky stuff and they took the lot. Other stuff I saw there were concrete blocks, televisions, computers, electrical goods etc.etc. They won't take garden waste e.g. hedge clippings etc. I don't know if there are similar recycling places elsewhere in the city - Dublin Co Co own this one and Thorntons run it for them. You do have to do the loading of the trailer, van, car or whatever yourself but they will help unload.
