Skip Hire

We want to get a skip to remove an old kitchen warbrobes and flooring from a terraced house in Crumlin. There is no rear access to the house and a garden in the front so the skip would have to be placed on the footpath or road (very narrow road though).

I heard that you now have to get planning permission to do place a skip on a public footpath...anyone know much about this??

Newbie,

I've had a skip outside my house for the last week. Gone now. I never applied for planning permission. Not something I think you should worry about.

Pigsback.com (through Greenstar)were offering skips a while ago (maybe still). Not sure how good price was. Maybe worth checking out.

If you have an issue with litter around an overloaded skip on the street, there is a number on the skip - just supply this number and the company name to your County Council and they will get onto the hire company - County council's issue the permits, they can take em away too.
