Hi,

I am just about to buy an apartment and I've got already an appointment for signing the contract.
You will excuse my stupid question, d I not suppose to be offered a chance to do the snag list first?

What is the usual procedure?
Thanks.

No. You do the snag list before closing but not before signing the contract.

So, to understand that we sign the contract and then the builder gives us the opportunity to do a snag list... Do we ring the builder to arrange this?
Do we get the keys when signing the contract?
What means closing?

Thanks for your reply.

When you sign the contract you only pay some of the money. Closing is when you pay the final amount and get the key.
You arrange a time with the builder to do the snag list before the closing.

Hi Root

Once you have signed your contract and paid your deposit, the builder will send you a letter when the property is ready for snagging and will give you between 7 to 14 days to carry out the snag list.
