seal concrete floor to get rid of musty smell before laying laminate?

I took up an old laminate floor, I think it may have got flooded from the utility room next door at some point, or perhaps there was an accident as it was a sick room. Anyway, I wanted to change the floor as the room smelt musty.

Its now been aired etc but there is still a tiny bit of mustiness - but the floor is 100% dry, no damp or anything like that.

BTW I dont have underfloor heating.

I am going to lay uniclic laminate with the uniclic combifloor damp proof underlay.

Just to be sure to be sure, can I seal the concrete floor to get rid of any residual whiff?

Or should I just bleach it?

Or any other ideas?

Eamonn,

I had a similar issue with a concrete floor a few years back.I let it breathe for 2 weeks then went ahead and laid the laminate floor over the underlay and fixed new skirtings etc. Never had a whiff since if that helps...
