Savings account?

We are a recently married couple wishing to save to extend our house in the next year. We have about 10K in cash gifts and can save a further EUR1,500 per month. Where would you suggest we save this money? We would need access to it in 12 months. I've read First Active and Anglo Irish are offering good interest rates, but what is the best option with the existing savings we have?
