Hi, just saw this thread after a search.
I have a Robomow RL550.. i bought it in September (2010).
Due to the winter growing season, it's only being fully tested for last month.
It's very, very good.
It's considerbaly better than a normal lawnmower; it doesn't leave thatch, clippings. As a result, the lawn is not damaged.
It does a great job simply because it's slow at moving around; it takes about 3 times as long as a normal push-mower.
When deciding to buy a mower, a ride-on made more sense than a push due to the size. But then I did my research. So this Robomow fitted the bill.
At 1250euro, it's not cheap..but considerbaly cheaper than a new ride-on.
We have two areas of lawn. Up to two weeks ago, I had the Robo set up on just one area. I was using my Mam's for the other one.
The robo area looked so much better. My Mam's lawnmower didn't do near as good a job.
FYI; my Mam's lawnmower is a Honda-engined mower - a very good one.
