Pope Francis has died on Easter Monday morning... He was 88 and had been recovering from a serious bout of double pneumonia.

Well there is an American cardinal (with Cork roots) in the running

All joking aside, it's weird to think that a man is going to go into that conclave and never return home again, except on a "Papal visit".

I recon it'll be the Italian or the chap from the Philippines.
Given that most of the new Catholics are probably coming from Africa it should probably be one of their lads. That said the money comes from the USA and money talks. Either way it's of only passing interest to me as I don't believe in the supernatural.

Not confirmed yet - but Trump has said he and Melania are "looking forward to being there"

I suspect he had to bite his tongue when he saw Francis got wall to wall media coverage pushing Trump off the front pages

My mother was in hospital for 10 days recently. I made light of that.
My partner has stage 3 breast cancer. We constantly laugh about that.
It's good to laugh.
