I'm looking for any advice on where to go, what to buy and how much should I expect to pay. What should I be looking for? Are the B&Q ones any good? I asked about them in the Naas shop but the guy did not know much. He said that they have not sold 1 since the shop opened. Thats not a good sign is it?
I've had several ride-on and walk-behind mowers over the last few years,i'm in the business, and have to say the Honda/CastleGarden (they are both the same, just re-badged) are the best.
Have had Hayter,Ariens,John Deere,Simplicity,Husquavarna and Oleo-Mac mowers in the past.
My advise is to spend as much as you possibly can, within reason of course,as I have seen alot of people buying these ride-ons from B&Q and Co-Ops,and you get what you pay for, junk. You would be far better off buying a good walk-behind mower that these, honestly.
Go to a reputable dealer who will look after you when things go wrong,as I say a honda or castlegarden, 15hp+,40 inch cut+,you could get a good second hand for resonable money with a warranty, possibly around 1900euro,far better value than those B&Q yokes
