Revolut's highest interest rate on savings is currently 3% (it was 3.49%), but only available to their Ultra customers (costs €45 per month)
The interest rate offered to Revolut's basic customers is 1.7%
I think it may be because i lodge a certain amount per month into my revolut. But in any case it looks like i am getting 3.49aer at the moment, see screengrab.
This is, therefore, probably as good as one can currently get for a deposit?
Is 'aer' the correct metric to be measuring and comparing against? I think theres other ways of advertising deposit accounts so not sure if aer is the best measure/metric for comparison.
When I click "get boosted" it just brings me into the app as normal, not to a particular page. Does the offer still exist for new signups? or is opt-in just not required? And is the only condition that you deposit at least €1,800 per month?
It's opt-in but requires an invite email from them. It's for existing customers, not new signups. I'm not sure how exactly they are determining who to invite but the "Who is eligible for this Promotion?" section of the T&Cs (here: https://www.revolut.com/en-IE/legal/boosts-offer-existing-customers/) indicates that having topped up your Revolut current account with €1,800 or more in the last month will probably exclude you.
Yes I am still getting it. I have an AIB credit card so each month I top up my Revolut by 10k using the AIB cc, take the daily interest, then transfer the 10k back to AIB at the end of the month, pay off the credit card bill and repeat. Money for nothing.
My other half got a boosted account but only got 2% interest. He gets 1% cashback while I get 2%. Not sure what criteria they use to determine who gets which offer.
Edit - just checked there and it looks like the offer is ending on April 6th for me
