Will keep simple as not sure of all the details.
I do not have AVC's but noticed that for 2025, I have a credit for AVC's.
Also flat rate expenses used to be semi automatic, but now need to be applied for..
.... No harm to check.

In your certificate for 2025? Any chance of an redact copy so.we can see what you mean?

Were you making AVCs before now?

May explain this so?

Definitely - always a good idea to check one's tax credits on Revenue myAccount and make any adjustments if needed.

*Payroll Pat* on Facebook is great for giving folks heads up. Before this, once you sorted your flat rate expenses, they would automatically appear. From 2025, they have made changes. Screenshot_2024-12-15-15-55-22-787-edit_com.android.chrome.jpg

No ... I have never had an AVC. Can't find statement now at all, so many they are fixing error. Thank you.

My wife has had both her flat rate expenses for a HSE role and the tax relief for her income protection insurance wiped off this year's tax cert. So she will have to reapply for both of these this year.

They seem to be removing all the flat rate expense credits and people have to re-add them themselves, first year I've had to do this, though I have to add back the health insurance credit every year unfortunately.
