Hi, does anyone here have any experience or a recommendation for a company to install retrofit underfloor heating?
We are building an extension and want to get the rest of the house done as well. The existing floors are concrete.
Looking at getting a company to dig out the existing concrete floors. Have a couple of quotes but prices seem dramatically different which makes me nervous…

No recommendations sorry, but if you can provide the number of rooms, area and quotes somebody might be able to say if it seems reasonable or not.

Cost to install the system into an existing screed floor, which includes grinding the channels, supply & installation of pipework and manifolds.

Ah sorry I thought you planned to break out the floors and pour new ones. Have you checked there is sufficient insulation under the existing floors for UFH to be effective?

FWIW we put in some UFH a couple of years ago, I bought the pipework/manifolds myself from a trade supplier, it came to €1500 for 55sqm of rooms. So I’d say the parts alone for your 160sqm could be €3k. With that in mind and given the work involved in something like this, €9k does not sound expensive to me.
