Hi,

have an external pvc sliding door that needs replacing.
Would be interested to hear if anybody picked one up off donedeal or got a factory second..

Try talking to a few local window installers. There are a lot of these coming out during renovations and upgrades and a lot are dumped. You might get what you want.

Consider replacing with double doors (often called French doors).

Lots of suppliers out there, though it's not a hard job to do yourself if you have someone to give you a hand for lifting / holding.

Lots of these are made to measure so you may face a challenge in finding an exact fit.

Talk to fitters in your area, they are the ones who rip out the old ones on replacement jobs. It should be noted that most aren't all that careful about removing them, prioritising speed of getting the job done, but they might be encouraged to mind a suitable one for you.
