I went to The Education Centre in Templeogue. The standard in teaching was way above that in my previous school (which was fee paying). The teachers really got you thinking and got you to analyse things a lot more than in normal school. You are treated like a young adult and not a kid. I did my Leaving in 1994, so I don't know what the standard of teaching is like now.
A lot of it comes down to your daughter's desire to get required points. In these "cram" schools, it's more like a college environment where you could have 3-4 hours between classes. That is a great opportunity to get study done but it is also a great chance to slack off, especially if somewhere like Leeson St where you can doss about town.
