Remove black mould

washing soda and vinegar... but, you really need to get to the root cause to resolve the problem long term!

Any anti-bacterial spray for the kitchen should do the trick, as mould is bacteria.

I use the Dettol spray, putting it on liberally and wiping over with a cloth. Seems to help me anyway!

mould is a fungus...

the tips above are good. I saw Kim and Aggie on "how clean is your house" using small face masks because of the spores.

For walls, there are specially developed paints with a biocidal ingredient (typically ionic copper or silver) that will keep walls mould and bacteria-free.

Check out "Bioni Hygienic" or Dulux's "Sterishield". No interest in either of these companies; just independently interested in the science behind the technology.

Anybody know how to remove black mould from window frames (PVC)?

Would recommend testing any of the recommended products on a small area and see how they react after a day or two to ensure they don't do any damage.

We're still talking about windows I hope :)

Oh sorry I was on about my monthly wash! I do get a little stinky...

A Microbiologist friend (Studying in NUIG!) told me about mould being a type of bacteria and to use an anti-bac spray. Its worked perfect for me. You could wipe it on walls lightly as long as its well ventilated to dry out.

I would use milton diluted, to kill the fungus so that it doesn't grow back again! or diluted bleach! obviously be careful with Timber framed windowS!

I'm sorry, but until the smell makes me pass out, I don't wash.. save the earth and all that jazz!
