Regrouting Patio. Advice Needed Please.

I power washed my patio today. Turned out great but I removed a large number of chunks of the original sand and cement grout. There's none at all between some slabs after my handiwork.

I want to regrout it, asap. Should I brush a sand and cement mix into the spaces between the slabs? Should I use a wet mix? Should I use a strong mix? e.g., sand/cement at about 3:1?

Or should I do something entirely different?

But FYI: sand and cement isnt needed for pointing any more. There's product(s) on market (in different colours) that you simply brush into the gaps and let it set over night. Thats it really...no more worrying about staining your natural stone etc...
