Realistic Completion Date?

Hi All,

I've been an avid reader of this site throughtout my FTB process, to which, like everyone else, there have been many ups and downs..

After some serious stressful moments we are at a point where we've been into the solicitor once, signed and set a date for final signing, the broker is happy that everything is fine on their end, the solicitor is waiting for the Block Policy from the management company (buying a duplex).

Do you think that the date we have of 6th July for completion (is that the term?) is realistic? Bank will have to receive the block poilcy and requisition the loan cheque....

The bank usually release the cheque within 3-5 days of receipt of the last o/s item (in your case cheque req, block policy etc.) If I were you I would be putting the pressure on my solicitor to ensure he gets the block policy form the management co & forwards it to the lender by the end of the week at latest.

That's great thanks, I'll get onto the solicitor and make sure that things are moving.
