I am considering purchasing a 2nd home in the Netherlands in the next 3-5 years . At this point I will have equity in my PPR of approx 80k and savings of 50k. At present the kind of properties were are looking at are around 225k. My query is how do I fund the difference. I don’t think I can get a Dutch mortgage without being a resident and working there . I don’t think an irish bank would mortgage an overseas property? So am I left with only equity release and personal loans to fund this . My employment is remote based and I am considering working between here and the Netherlands . Any advise is appreciated.
