I was amazed, to see this article on RTE's website:

Public asked to make submissions on Dáil constituencies

Members of the public are being invited to make submissions to the Electoral Commission on the makeup of Dáil constituencies for the next election.

Do we really need more politicans, in the Dail?

My own view is that we need a lot less, and should be going for quality, not quantity....

I'd rather have half the number, and pay them better (to help attract and retain better talent).

Also, let's not forget that we also have both MEPs and Senators!
