Property investments in Dubai

An executive order from Dubai Crown Prince General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has capped rental prices increases at 15% until the end of 2006. The Rent Committee of the Dubai Municipality will implement the order.

These kind of executive orders that these princes can throw out depending on how it suits them would be one of the reasons why I wouldn't buy in Dubai.

Couldn't agree more - as I pointed out in this thread. The [broken link removed]are a law unto themselves and if they decide to change it ...

I think I read somewhere that the law in Dubai states that if you die owning property, the inheritor will automatically be your eldest son.

I don't think I heard of any women buying out there !

I recently seen a survey outlining the average property price increases accross the world and it had Dubai at 0% over the last year i.e. no change in prices.
