My contract states the following
"Your contract is subject to a probationary period of 12 months in order to assess your suitability and skills for the role. This may be extended at the discretion of the company but will not in any circumstances exceed 12 months."
It says in my contract that my pay will be reviewed in 6 months and it always states under my pension
"Details of the company pension scheme will be given to you at the appropriate time and you will be entitled to contribute on your own behalf following 6 months of employment. Subject to successful completion of your probationary period, age limits and service qualifying periods you will be included in the company defined contribution pension scheme"
What is my probationary period? The section for probationary period doesn't make any sense. it says that it can be extended at discretion of company but will not exceed 12 months but the probationary period is 12 months should this have been 6 months and was a typo?
I am approaching my 6 months in the company and was just wondering does anyone have any insight into this?
I cant ask HR as all our on holidays til later next week and I am hoping to go for a mortgage and just wanted to know.
