Probate Processing Time

Does anyone you if a probate application has queries,how long it takes once they are answered by a solicitor?We've just purchased a house awaiting Grant of Probate where the vendors had initially submitted a personal application,the probate office came back to them with queries and asked them to submit via a solictor which was done 8wks ago now.The vendors solicitor has told our solicitor that when they rang the probate office informed them that it should be coming by the end of rhe week/early next week.Are solicitors dealing with the probate privy to this information regarding the application processing times or are they just trying to keep us happy by telling us its coming through next week?thank you

I heard there was at least a 4 month queue at the Probate Office. I am in a similar boat, my father died last November and solicitor has not sought probate yet (bank account searches etc) so, I'm reckoning on before Christmas before the funds can be released
