can anyone tell me if these preapproved credit cards exist? i have heard about preapproved loans over the years but there was some talk recently about doing away with them. i have been with my bank now for years and have never been offered anything (credit card/loan) other than one of their loyalty accounts. also, i am curious about periodic searches of icb records. do these happen even when a person is not applying for credit?
