Does anyone know if you can get hold of a book on the planning regulations in cork county???
If it was possible to see exactly what they want BEFORE you submit your planning application would it not make life easier for everyone? or am I just very innocient.

Re: planning

Cork County Council have published a book with a variety of house designs that they would like to see built. Here are the details.

Title: Cork Rural Design Guide, building a new home in the countryside
Place/Publisher/Date: Cork County Council, 2004
Price: 20.00
Format: Hardback

Should be in local library or in local bookshop. If you are Dublin based, it is definitely in Blanchardstown Library.

Re: planning

i bought it last year . its a load of crap and really proves the point made by that guy at the planners conference last week.
you can save yourself the cover price and just design a horrible little square box with 18 inch square windows (but not too many of them). going by this book, the planners are bound to love it.
