Phone cuts out almost immediately

Another suggestion is check your answerphone settings. It could be that it goes to answerphone after one on two rings. I had to change mine to 5 rings to give me self a chance to answer it.
If you are picking up the call and it cuts off then that is a different story.

Problem seems to be solved I think.
Phone now rings so it must have been easy mute when I found it , it was on. I never switched it on and indeed never knew it was there so how it switched on I cant imagine!
