PAYE, but now getting extra income that's not taxed at source. Help appreciated

This is how some employees of RTE are paid. On a PAYE salary for normal work and a contractor for extra work.
It has cost RTE (Scope) 2m in back taxes and fines so far and I believe an additional 8m has been set aside.

As it is public sector, they are required to deduct Professional Services Withholding Tax (20%) from the invoice payment. From what the OP said is sounds like they could not longer be bother anymore. This is not PAYE/PRSI/USC, it just proves a credit against your Tax Return.

Someone mentioned the HSE, they are one large employer.

Contacting Revenue/CAG about it could really put the cat among the pigeons. :)
