Paint pebble-dash outside wall

Hi,
I'd like to repaint the outside walls of my house. Walls have a coarse pebble-dash finish.
I've done a small concrete shed that has the same finish, but the amount of paint and time needed is unbelieveable (rolling didn't work at all, and using a brush is just painful).
What's the best way to do this? Rent an (airless) spraygun, or brushing the only way to do? Also, what's the best way to clean the wall beforehand?

Or should I get a professional in? (It is mid-terraced house, so only two outside walls).

Think Masonry brush is the only way to go. Just gone mine done. Mid terraced house. My Brothers a painter and he did it for me but he used a brush. Took about 8 hours.

I asked him the same questions and he said spray painting is so messy. You need to mask off everything and put protective plastic over garden, cars, trees, neighbours house etc. And if its windy the paint blows everywher

Weather is important when spray painting a house as is knowing the tricks of the trade regarding the deliveryto the nozzle, mixing, pressure etc.

Like all spray actions it does take a while to set up and working outside you have unknowns as well.

But let me ask you - when was the last time you saw someone painting a car by hand?

The spray, properly applied, gets in everywhere and covers well.
