Hi All,
I have recently been investigating options strategies, credit spreads other similar moves. However I cannot seem to get a clear answer as to the taxation of such strategies in Ireland.
As it is not my primary source of income, I believe any monies received from buying/selling call and puts would be subject to CTG. I would never outright own the stock, at least it is not my intention to own any via options, and I'm unlikely to let the contracts expire especially not when using spreads. I'm not fully sure if monies received are taxed at CTG or Income tax, the revenue does not specifically mention anything like this.
Does anyone buy/sell options? How are they taxed?
