Online returns from UK

Hi

We have some online sales with the UK. It is very small maybe 10 per week.

The problem online returns from the customer is sitting in Irish customs for up to a month. They also try charge VAT and & Duty on some packages which spend days debating that there should be no duty or tax on a returned item.

Has anyone found a solution to this UK / Ireland problem?

There are companies in Northern Ireland that can assist.

Frankly between "porch pirates" and a less than honest type of customer, I withdrew from selling into the UK 5 years ago. Even when we did, we weighed all UK parcels and took photos due to the number of nefarious claims - funny how so many suddenly found the missing item!!
