Fair Deal/Nursing Homes Nomination on credit union account, fair deal question

Hi,
I am filling in form for fair deal for my Mum. She has nominated people on her credit union account. Do I include these in the fair deal application too, are they treated like a joint account ? So does that mean half the balance will be considered in the calculation? Thanks

Until such time as the CU account holder dies the funds in the account are the account holders only.

If the account is only in your mother's name, as set out by Zobeda, it's her asset only. Some credit unions allow joint accounts but any savings are divided by two if, say, her husband is still alive.
