New jobseekers pay related question

Hi, only saw this evening about the new pay related jobseekers benefit that comes in 31st March. I work part time, gross is just over €300 a week so if I was unemployed now I would get €244 a week. I am confused ….what would I get with new pay related system, is it 60% of my gross….?

I think that the current non pay related scheme would still apply in your case?

The existing Jobseeker’s Benefit scheme is being retained for people who may not be eligible for the new scheme because they are working on a part-time, casual, short-time or seasonal basis.

Jobseeker's Benefit

Jobseeker's Benefit is for people between 18 and 66 who become unemployed and have enough PRSI contributions. The full rate is €220 per week. If you earned less than €300, you do not get the full rate.
