Hi,

We are thinking of buying a three bed semi detached house in Dodderbrook, Ballycullen and were looking for some information as we are not from the area. We have one child, 1 year old.

What is the estate/area like in general?
Any trouble in the area?
Are the houses in good condition?
What is the traffic like in the morning?

Any information at all would be great!

Thanks!

My brother lives there. It's quiet. A lot of people with young families like yourself. I don't visit him often to know much more. He says morning traffic is fine.

Plug the address into Google Maps and look for directions to your normal commute destination, use the 'depart at' or 'arrive by' options to see what traffic is usually like at those times.

Traffic in the morning is appalling - be cautious that it may be significantly improved currently due to the schools being off but before you even consider buying do a trial run of your commute at your exact times. It can take 40mins to get to the M50 even though it's less than 2km.

My brother works in Swords - begins at 8:30.
It takes a little over thirty minutes travel time. He uses the M50.

The Developer is Maplewood Residential. They have built many homes in Dublin 24 so there should be no issues in terms of quality and workmanship.
