Does anyone share the opinion that the inside of the new 3 has dropped significantly in quality and appeal. Particularly the dash, quality of plastic and the design of the whole dash itself ?
 
I agree. The foot pedals on the 3 series have a tradition of being off centre to the right and too close together too.
Honda accord is a better car.
 
I know somebody with a 10 month old 320i. He's had the gearbox replaced and also the air conditioning failed.

I am a big BMW fan and have no problem in saying the new BMW 3 saloon is one hideous train wreck. The 5 grew on me to such a stage that it is my next must buy. The 3 however turns my stomach everytime I see it.
The Honda accord on the other hand is a slick bit of kit and I would have it in a heart beat over that new 3 (Avensis wreck)
Only thing stopping me is that the new 3 coupe really does look like it has sorted out the mess.
Pics I have seen really look awesome, a trimmed down and refined 6.
 
Agreed new Lexus 250 really did get it right in the looks at last to compliment what was always a good car!
As the Beamers (3) image plummeted the Lexus ( the GS like wise looks great) soared...it would be interesting to see the effect on BMW sales the new Lexus has made ...any one any info?
 
Lexus has the looks and renowned reliability and owner satisfaction according to JD power surveys. They've improved this car immensely!
Another advantage of the Lexus is that you won't see as many on the road as the 3 series BMWs
