Need investment /savings advice

Hi. Need a little help. I have 10K and roughly 500 euros to save each month. I was thinking of putting 10K in rabodirect for the 5% interest. The 500 euros, I'm unsure. I was wondering whether to use the AIB regular saver or the EBS regular saver a/c. Which would be better? Hoping to have some money aside for the kids education and any emergencies. I welcome any thoughts on the above. Thanks.

After Dirt is taken off at the end of the year when interest is paid into you account if you had:

10K in Rabo at 5% and 5K in NR at 4.5% = 400 + 180 = 580Euro after dirt

or

15K in First active at 5.22% = 626.4 after dirt

a difference of 46.40Euro per annum.

Better in your pocket rather than the banks, NTL paid for the month is one way of looking at it.

Dont have either NTL package so thats about 10 pints of bulmers down the local for me!!!!
