Multi fuel stove broken and not installed properly - replace with electric stove

My Stanley multi furl stove was not installed properly and is also broken, but fixable. I had thought of replacing it with an electric stove- but there was always hassle about whose turn it was to clean it out, and I found lugging briquettes then and blocks now a lot if hassle. However, I wondered of an electric jnset stove with a baloon in the chimney would be equivalent to a muktifuel stove in maintaining my C1 BER rating?
