Microsoft enter anti-spyware arena

If'n youre interested, and some of you may be aware of this already, MS have bought an anti-spyware software company called Giant. Report seems to suggest theyll be releasing something towards the end of Jan.

No doubt there'll be a fee, but I havent come across anything yet that cant be cleaned by running any of the free versions of spyware cleaners out there. Sometimes a spyware will get picked up by yahoo and not adaware or spybot and vice versa but once you know to run multiple cleaners then you shouldnt need to shell out money.

and yes theres always firefox.

Downloaded all the stuff in your key post and gave my PCs a good old cleaning out last night.

I'm sticking to the yahoo and adaware strategy for the time being.

BTW tweaknow (or regclean I cant remember which) would only clean 20 registry entries before requiring registration.
