hello,
i'm looking for some advice if you don't mind? i have a lump sum deposit that i use for income. but the interest rates drops are killing me. is there any ideas out there that you would suggest i could look into to increase my income? it's a large amount and i've had it on deposit with one of the big two for a while now. i thank you for any advice, its all welcome!!

You can still get some great interest rates out there but you probably need to act fast and lock as base rates continue to drop.

Almost all the best rates are with Anglo Irish. It is worth considering their 6.00% term deposit if you have a lump sum and are happy to lock for a year.
 
This evenings announcement by the Government on the Nationalisation of Anglo will no doubt have an early downward effect on interest rates for savings !
So you should get moving on this asap
