Low pressure in new bathroom

I've had a low water pressure problem for years, but it was nothing to do with the water supply per se. I eventually figured out how to dismantle the kitchen tap and found it was partially blocked by stone chips that had come in with the water. That improved things from horrendous to merely abysmal. Then the house next door got sold and the plumber doing a boiler upgrade found the mains cutoff under the kitchen sink was frozen up, so went outside to turn it off on the street and found that was frozen too. Irish water got called out and while they were replacing the stopcock for next door, they gratuitously did ours too. Main pressure suddenly improved by a factor of several. There's no sign of any seasonal drop-off either.

Plumber arrived today to connect the loo cistern and bathroom tap to the mains. Cistern refill time has gone from 11 minutes to 1 minute. Success! Thanks everyone who provided answers and suggestions.
