Loughshinny

Hi,

Anybody know what it's like to live in Loughshinny? Looking to move out northside (originally from swords) and like the look of loughshinny.

I live just down the rd. Loughshinney is really pretty - has a nice beach, little harbour and a martello tower!! but it lacks services such as shops, pubs etc.. there is quite a bit of building going on at the moment too. However, It is only 3 minutes from either rush or skerries which have shops, pubs etc. and it's on the 33 bus route.

houses are expensive.
lack of services but you can go to Skerries or Rush.

you will find that you have to drive to Rush/Lusk or Skerries for the train.

You are quite cut off from the N1/M1.

You should alos consider Balrothery. It's much easier to get to the M1 from and is closer to the bigger/better services in Balbriggan (which will get even bigger/better over the years).

Anyone from this area have any thoughts on it - are there schools in Loughshinny etc
How long does it take to commute to town etc
