Lost work

I have a external lacey drive and it will not work, is there any way I can retrive the work on it or have I lost it for good?

Any help would be greately appreciated>

BTW Is that a Mac you have - thats where I seem to come across lacey drives mostly.

Tell us about it - is it a USB interface ? whats the model & capacity ? Do you really really really want the data or would it just be nice to have ?

Thanks - never heard of them and haven't used a Mac in years so if the problem is Mac specific, as opposed to some other standard/technolocy such as USB, FireWire etc. or whatever, then I doubt that I can help here unfortunately... :\

People on graphic design forums will probably know the answer. A lot of those folks use this drive to backup their large artwork files.
