Looking for a better price on curved oak stairs

I've been quoted around 20k from a few Irish Joineries for a 90 degree curved oak stairs. These are for fairly a standard design on Balusters, Newel Posts and Handrail. We cannot afford anything even close to this amount. Does anyone have any experience in purchasing a similar staircase from Irish or Foreign Joineries?
 
A decent carpenter can do that less than for 5K. Usualy its 100 EUR/step, unless its something very special.
 
I'd doubt you'd get close to €100 a step for a curved solid oak staircase. There's a lot of extra work involved.

thanks both, spoke to a joiner the other day, he said it will be fairly expensive too. Looking into arcways in the US also, they mass produce them so maybe i'll get a decent price from them.
 
That would be the clever thing to do alright, however, they are lovely and my girlfriend has her heart set on one. We have designed a house with a large hallway to suit the fitting of one. If worst comes to worst we'll put in the right angled one in, but if we can get a curved close to 10k then we'll make the sacrifice and get one.

The best I found was Tribeca Stairs, based in Dublin but will install around the country. Our curved solid oak is about the €15k mark, and quality is good. Might be worth checking out their website.
 
bought a stairs from foreign joinery about a year ago still having nightmares about it. ASH stairs. it burns very well
