lone/single parents

hi just to post a question on behalf a friend,hes a lone parent with 2 kids on welfare,hes moving from a rented house back to his parents,question is when he moces will it take a few weeks form his payments to be sorted,or is it done straight off,chhers and thanks in advance
ps
also as hes moving back to parentswill his payment for him and his kids be cut in any way,ive heard not..

There should be no delay in transferring his claim and payments from one location to another. If there is any delay, he can contact the Community Welfare Officer at the local health centre for assistance.

His rate of payment won't change either - if he was getting Rent Supplement, that will stop of course since he won't be renting any more.
