Nick from Monitum - [broken link removed] (recommended by other posts on AAM) did a great deal for me. Just recently applied for my life assurance for my mortgage.

You get 90% (less commission of Eur 25) back on your first annual premium. I thought that was a good deal. Also got the best quote for decreasing mortgage protection from them as well.

Was very efficient only took a week or so. (I didn't need a medical)
 
Just a tip - my place won't be ready til next year but my girlfriend and myself have taken out life and mortgage cover already - if anything were to happen in the meantime the mortgage would be sorted.

Went with New Ireland through a broker.
