I getting my kitchen floor tilled this week and my tiler wants me to get floor leveling compound. Can anyone tell me where i can get this stuff and for how much it is?

B&Q, Homebase, Atlantic Homecare or any tile store. I don't know how much it costs but probably similar to adhesive. Slim

It'd almost certainly be cheaper buy it in a regular builders providers such as Brooks or Chadwickes. Should be around €15 for a 25kg bag.

He wants 5 bags. It's for tiling on tiles. Is there a few different types or they nearly all the same.

The company that laid my flooring advised that there were one or two areas that needed levelling compound applied. They recommended (and supplied for me to apply) a latex-based system. It mixes up a little differently to water-based compound, spreads much better, and cured significantly faster. The cured compund is supposed to have a little "give" to inhibit cracking, especially in the places where the skin is very thin.

I don't remember what the brand name was, unfortunately. Maybe a local flooring company could help you to source some?
